Camellia Dalai, MD
Gastroenterologist
Dr. Camellia Dalai is a board-certified Gastroenterologist dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal digestive health through compassionate, comprehensive care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Portland State University, followed by her Doctor of Medicine from Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Dalai completed her Internal Medicine residency at UCLA–Olive View and went on to pursue fellowship training in Gastroenterology at the University of New Mexico.
Dr. Dalai’s interest in gastroenterology began early, during a high school apprenticeship with a wound and ostomy clinical nurse specialist. Through that experience, she gained insight into the care of patients with colostomies and ileostomies, sparking a deeper curiosity about the underlying gastrointestinal conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer. This formative experience led her to pursue a career focused on digestive health.
She values the variety her specialty offers, from building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients to performing procedures that diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions. Dr. Dalai has a particular passion for preventive care, including screening colonoscopies, and the opportunity to detect and prevent colon cancer.
Prior to joining Western Wisconsin Health, Dr. Dalai practiced in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, under the OakLeaf Medical Network, and previously in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Outside of work, Dr. Dalai enjoys spending time with her husband and staying active with her two young sons.
