OB/GYN

Dr. Cara Syth provides comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care with a strong commitment to patient education, compassionate care, and shared decision-making. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls and completed her medical degree and OB/GYN residency at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Dr. Syth’s path to medicine began after a serious horseback riding accident in her teenage years, where her experience as a patient highlighted the profound impact of compassionate, patient-centered care. That early exposure, combined with her interest in science and hands-on care, ultimately led her to pursue medicine. During medical school, she discovered her passion for OB/GYN, drawn to the unique blend of clinic, surgical care, and the opportunity to support patients through pregnancy and the birth of new life.

Following residency, Dr. Syth practiced at Red Cedar Medical Center in Menomonie, where she built strong relationships caring for patients across the community. She is excited to continue that community-focused care at Western Wisconsin Health.

Outside of work, Dr. Syth enjoys gardening, running marathons, reading historical fiction, and traveling. She especially values time spent outdoors and preserving her garden harvest through canning and freezing, and she is always open to book recommendations.
