Virtual Care Visits
Virtual care visits make it easy to connect with your provider from wherever you are. Whether you’re at home or another convenient location, you can meet with your provider online as long as you have an internet connection.
Please note that while many providers at Western Wisconsin Health offer virtual visits, not every appointment can be completed using this option.
Scheduling a Virtual Visit
Virtual visits can be scheduled by calling our office or submitting an online appointment request. At this time, virtual visits cannot be booked through MyChart.
Preparing for Your Virtual Visit
To participate in a virtual visit, you will need:
- A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone
- A reliable internet connection
Joining Your Virtual Visit
When scheduling your appointment, you will be asked whether you prefer to receive communications by email or text. Instructions for joining your visit will be sent using the method you select.
During Your Virtual Visit
Your virtual appointment will be similar to an in-person visit. Your provider will discuss your symptoms, review your medical history and medications, and gather any other important information. Based on the conversation and evaluation, they may recommend next steps, which could include additional testing, a specialist referral, or a prescription if appropriate.
