Now Offering Access to Helicopter Services

We are excited to announce that Life Link III, an air medical transportation service for Wisconsin and Minnesota, conducted a test helicopter landing on the grounds of Western Wisconsin Health on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. While a helicopter can land anywhere, it was determined there is a safe and viable helicopter landing zone available near the Emergency Services entrance.  A space has been designated and we have plans to install additional lights and a windsock in the near future.

“Immediate access to helicopter services on the Western Wisconsin Health campus will give us the opportunity to provide a higher level of care,” said Don Brock, ER and Inpatient Manager. “We currently partner with Baldwin Area EMS and other surrounding transportation agencies to provide local transportation. The availability of helicopter services such as Life Link, will greatly enhance our ability to move patients, especially in extreme cases.”
