Western Wisconsin Health recently received gold level certification as a Family Friendly Workplace™ from the United Way St. Croix Valley’s Success by 6 initiative. This certification recognizes businesses that actively invest in programs and practices that support employees and their families.
Western Wisconsin Health has a long history as a family-friendly workplace and continuously evolves its programs to remain relevant for today`s working parents. Benefits include everyday work schedule flexibility, excellent benefits including employer paid family health benefits, a generous PTO and extended illness package, parenting and wellness education, and EAP services provided by our behavioral health providers. A private nursing mother’s lounge is available for both staff and guests.
“The environment we create for our staff is a cornerstone to creating a healthier community,” said Alison Page CEO. “Being a parent is a 24/7 job, we strive to make accommodations in order for working parents to be both excellent parents and employees. We hope that other employers in the area will follow our lead.”
Western Wisconsin Health will continue to develop family friendly practices at the new Western Wisconsin Health Campus that will open on July 25, 2016. The vision is to exemplify and promotes healthy, sustainable living for staff and families. In the future, they hope to have an onsite day care, sick day care services, and continue to grow the list of benefits and amenities for working parents.
