Western Wisconsin Health Fitness Center and Therapeutic Pool is Now Open

Western Wisconsin Health is excited to announce that the new fitness center and therapeutic pool is now open. The new addition officially opened on Monday, March 6, 2017.

A Community Grand Opening Celebration was held on Thursday, March 2, 2017. It is estimated that over 1,000 people came to the facility to see the new fitness center and therapeutic pool. Visitors were able to tour the new fitness center and pool, try out some of the new fitness classes, and sign up for classes and memberships. There was also live piano music provided by Debra Tapp, healthy snacks, and a meet and greet with new providers that have joined the medical staff in the main atrium. Guests were able to look at displays of Western Wisconsin Health services and partners.

The event also included a ribbon cutting with the Baldwin-Woodville Chamber of Commerce and the Central St. Croix Chamber of Commerce.

The new 12,800 square foot 24/7 fitness center and therapeutic pool features many updates such as a drop-in play room, a 1,500 square foot private fitness studio for group exercise classes, and brand new cardio and strength equipment throughout the entire facility. The spacious locker rooms feature more showers and lockers for guests. The new assisted changing room provides privacy for families with young children, seniors in need of dressing assistance, as well as those with special needs.

The new therapeutic pool includes a new Hoyer lift, an increased depth of 5’6”, and two propulsion jets that have been added for resisted swimming and water running. The therapeutic pool floor is cushioned and the pool deck is larger to accommodate classes such as heated yoga.
