Jess Brehmer, MD, FAAOS

Dr. Jess Brehmer is originally from Apple Valley, MN. Graduated from the University of Minnesota with his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jess worked as a mechanical engineering intern at Boston Scientific for two summers but then decided to pursue medical school. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 2008 and then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Minnesota in 2013. Dr. Brehmer takes a professional interest in total knee and total hip arthroplasty including robotic total knee arthroplasty, fracture care, and hand surgery.
In his spare time, Dr. Brehmer enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. They enjoy camping, ice fishing, and traveling. He is an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoys bowhunting. He enjoys staying active with his family working out and also enjoy playing men’s league hockey in the winter.

It was the first time I had an appointment with Dr. Brehmer. He will be doing my knee surgery and I wanted to meet him. He was very informative and at the end of our visit I felt better about the surgery and was more comfortable about having it. He made me comfortable and was easy to talk with.
